poggio cagnano

2019-2021
manciano, italy

Poggio Cagnano is rising at 500 a.s.l., overlooking the Argentario sea.
The two hectares of vineyards, surrounded by olive trees and oak woods, rise, with extreme slopes on a compact block of sandstone.

The new winery project is located in the centre of the new planting that aims to bring the production in 2023 to 25,000 bottles.
The project integrates all the functional aspects related to winemaking and the exceptional nature of the site.
A large underground structure relates to the exterior only through precise “cuts” that regulate daylight.
The tasting room, suspended between the barrel cellar and the winery production, is open to the landscape and to sea view.
