The La Cimbali event within the la Scala laboratories, in the occasion of Host 2019.

A lights and sounds show that transform the via Tortona Visconti Pavilion into a space of multi-sensory experience.

The interest of the project lies in its “lightness” and the technological complexity.

A tailor-made multimedia system is guiding the experience of almost a thousand participants through the control of immaterial elements such as light, sound, video that add to the olfactory and taste ones related to the world of coffee.

The visitor is guided through a multi-channel surround sound synchronized with a dynamic architectural lighting system and video mapping.

multisensory experience in two acts

The pavilion’s layout is minimal, its industrial surfaces are integrated only with textile elements, functional for shielding the paths and used as backdrops for lighting effects.

The evening’s program is organized in two acts that mark the events of the evening: welcoming, aperitiv, opening, banquet, performing, concert, party.

Act 1
A large tulle curtain, linking to the world of coffee thorough projected images, stands as the backdrop for the entrance-aperitif space.

Act 2
A show of sounds and lights playing with the tulle transparency, opens to the concert and party space.
