The initiative, sponsored by the Cultural Department of the City of Vicenza and promoted by VAGA Association of Young Architects of the Province of Vicenza, presents a collection of the main project experiences of traverso-vighy.
creative capacities of light in urban spaces
In this exhibition the architects use light and images to give a new interpretation of an urban space of prestige which is the ionic portico of Palazzo Valmarana Braga by Andrea Palladio. The initiative is a first anticipation of the event Escape Routes, that animate the city of Vicenza between the 15th of December to the 17th of January 2010, with exhibitions, workshops, performances and events dedicated to contemporary.
The event Space Made Light aims to explore the research and study of light and architecture through exhibition and a catalogue published by Umberto Allemandi and offers moments of involvement on the design issues.
I progetti presentati, diversi per tipologia e scala di intervento, vanno dai sistemi di illuminazione come quello progettato per il bar e coffee shop Illy ad interi edifici studiati per massimizzare l’utilizzo della luce naturale, come lo Showroom Spidi a Sarego o il Salvagnini Technical Center.
The presented projects, different in type and scale of intervention, ranging from lighting systems, such as the one designed for the bar and coffee Illy shop to complete building structures designed to maximize the use of natural light, as Spidi Showroom in Sarego or Salvagnini Technical Center.
